Chelsea transfer news: Nicolas Jackson saga drags on as Blues, Bayern Munich in “top-secret” negotiations KIK BALL

Nicolas Jackson may reportedly still leave Chelsea for Bayern Munich before the end of transfer deadline day with the clubs said to be in “top-secret negotiations”.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich have allegedly resurrected discussions over the potential transfer of Nicolas Jackson.

In the hours after Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury against Fulham on Saturday afternoon, Chelsea informed Bayern Munich that they would not be allowing Jackson to move to the Allianz Arena.

That was despite the Senegal international having been on his way to Munich at the time and the 24-year-old has since stressed his annoyance at Chelsea’s move.

On Sunday evening, it was widely claimed that, despite Bayern’s best efforts, they had little choice but to end their chase of Jackson and for him to handle matters with his parent club.

However, on Monday morning, Sky Sport Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, who was commenting on X, has revealed that Jackson could still join Bayern by the end of the day.

What is latest on Jackson to Bayern?

Plettenberg claims that “top-secret negotiations” are being held between officials of both clubs, Chelsea having already taken action when it comes to resolving their striker crisis.

The West Londoners have allegedly negotiated the early return of Marc Guiu from his loan at Sunderland in order to act as a straight replacement for Delap.

Therefore, it is realistic to expect Chelsea to be open to allowing Jackson to sign for Bayern, but the world champions may now be insistent on Bayern signing him on a permanent basis.

A potential fee has not been suggested, yet Chelsea will need to lower their previous expectations having needed to agree a £13m loan fee last week.

With the money generated from Christopher Nkunku’s sale to AC Milan being spent on signing Alejandro Garnacho, Chelsea do not necessarily need to facilitate a permanent switch.

That said, the situation would change if they could agree terms with Barcelona over the signing of Fermin Lopez, albeit the Spanish playmaker yet to give the green light to a move to Chelsea.
