Bournemouth transfer news: Cherries announce Alex Jimenez signing with obligation to buy condition confirmed KIK BALL

Bournemouth confirm the loan signing of AC Milan defender Alex Jimenez, with the obligation to buy condition revealed.

Bournemouth have unveiled the signing of Alex Jimenez on a season-long loan deal from AC Milan.

A recent report claimed that Bournemouth had reached an agreement with the Italian giants over a loan move for the 20-year-old defender.

Bournemouth have now confirmed that Jimenez has become the club’s sixth addition of the summer transfer window.

The full-back man has signed on a loan deal until the end of the season, with an obligation to buy next summer if a certain condition is met.

As per BBC Sport, Bournemouth will sign Jimenez for £16.5m if he makes 18 Premier League starts during his time with the south coast side.

Jimenez reveals Premier League dream

Upon his arrival, the former Real Madrid man revealed that it has realised a dream by completing a move to the Premier League.

“I’m very happy.,” Jimenez told the club’s official website: “I’m excited about this project and that they’ve welcomed me so well. I can’t wait to start training with the team and playing with the team.

“It has always been one of my dreams to play in the Premier League and as long as I can fulfill a dream, I will be happy.”

Jimenez can play on either side of the backline and is also comfortable playing further forward when required, making him a versatile option for Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola

With that said, he will likely compete with Julian Araujo and Adam Smith for the right-back spot, although the latter is currently an injury concern after being forced off in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur

When could Jimenez make his Bournemouth debut?

Jimenez will have to wait until after the international break to make his first appearance in a Bournemouth jersey.

Bournemouth supporters should get to see Jimenez in action for the first time when Iraola’s side play host to Brighton & Hove Albion on September 13.

The Cherries are currently sitting in seventh place in the Premier League standings after taking six points from their opening two matches.
