Latest transfer news and rumours: Chelsea duo being chased by EFL trio, Wolverhampton Wanderers make striker decision KIK BALL

Sports Mole brings you the latest transfer news and rumours, including three EFL clubs chasing two of Chelsea’s outcasts and Wolverhampton Wanderers being willing to loan out a striker.

Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana is allegedly being chased by two clubs in the Championship.

With the last of four appearances for the Blues coming in 2022-23, the Ivorian is out of favour at Stamford Bridge and will be sold or loaned on transfer deadline day or in a later foreign transfer window.

Having last represented Goztepe in Turkey and been linked with Premier League and teams from abroad, one of those options feels more realistic.

Instead, as per Football Insider transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke, Preston North End and Charlton Athletic have both made enquiries for the 22-year-old.

The report suggests that the two Championship teams are interested in negotiating a loan deal with Chelsea on transfer deadline day.

Although the two teams in question are not viewed as promotion challengers, a move to either would provide Fofana with a better chance of regular football.

League One title favourites want Chelsea winger

Meanwhile, according to the same source, Chelsea winger Omari Kellyman is wanted by one of the League One title favourites.

Chelsea signed Kellyman from Aston Villa in a deal worth in the region of £20m for a player that had barely played any first-team football.

At the time, the transfer was necessary for Villa to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations, but the 19-year-old has since suffered two significant hamstring injuries.

As such, a deadline-day loan deal is inevitable, and it is claimed that Cardiff City have agreed a deal for the prospect to make the switch to the Bluebirds.

Cardiff have already accumulated 16 points from their opening six League One matches and are the clear favourites to earn an immediate return to the Championship.

With Kellyman only have 158 minutes of Under-21s football under his belt in over a year, the England Under-19 international could benefit from being involved as a squad options at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Wolves make striker decision

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly prepared to allow Sasa Kalajdzic to go out on loan on transfer deadline day.

After being sidelined with the third ACL injury of his career since February 2024, it has been a welcome sight seeing the Austria international make substitute appearances against West Ham United and Everton in Wolves’ last two games.

However, the pending arrival of Tolu Arokodare from Genk means that Kalajdzic faces the prospect of being fourth choice, also behind Jorgen Strand Larsen and Hwang Hee-chan.

With Wolves also struggling to comply with the Premier League’s homegrown rules, the Express and Star says that Kalajzdic is the main option to leave Wolves to make room for Arokodare.

Vitor Pereira wants new additions on transfer deadline day, yet he is currently restricted to signing domestic players on the back of Wolves only signing foreign players throughout the summer window.

Kalajdzic is likely to have interest in countries such as his homeland and Germany.
