Manchester United transfer news: Jadon Sancho ‘agrees move’ to Premier League club KIK BALL
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho reportedly agrees to sign for another Premier League club on loan.
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has reportedly agreed to move to another Premier League club on deadline day.
After Chelsea failed to activate their buy option for the England international during the early part of the summer, Man United have been eager to cash in on the 25-year-old.
However, reports have suggested that Sancho’s wage demands have prevented the likes of Roma and clubs from Turkey finalising a deal for his signature, whether that be on a permanent or temporary basis.
As a result, a scramble could now ensue for his signature on deadline day, and Sky Sports News initially claimed that Aston Villa have taken an interest in adding the former Borussia Dortmund star to their ranks.
Villa seemingly preferred to negotiate a loan agreement for Sancho, whereas Man United naturally want to raise funds from the sale of a player who once cost them £70m.
Sancho agrees Aston Villa transfer
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Sancho has decided to give the green light to a loan move to Villa for the 2025-26 campaign.
Rather than let the saga over his future drag out further, Sancho is taking the opportunity to remain in England.
Romano adds that formal steps are expected to continue throughout the day, the expectation that an announcement will come in the afternoon or evening.
Meanwhile, it is expected that United and Villa will remain in discussions over a deal for goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to make the switch to Old Trafford.
As it stands, there is no indication that the two deals could be linked and will realistically be conducted separately.
