Manchester United transfer news: Jadon Sancho loan details ‘revealed’ with Red Devils in line for major wages boost KIK BALL
Manchester United are allegedly in line to receive a major wages boost ahead of Jadon Sancho’s expected loan transfer to a Premier League club.
Manchester United are reportedly in line to receive a major boost through loaning Jadon Sancho to Aston Villa.
Since Chelsea opted against activating their option to sign Sancho earlier in the summer, United have been attempting to offload the England international.
After several moves were rejected by Sancho, it was reported on Monday morning that the 25-year-old had accepted the opportunity to sign for Aston Villa.
The West Midlands outfit will be signing the former Borussia Dortmund star on a loan deal for the remainder of 2025-26.
While Man United have not gotten their wish with regards to a permanent exit for Sancho, it appears that they will benefit through other means.
Will Villa pay Sancho wages?
As per Rob Dawson of ESPN, who was commenting on X, Villa are guaranteed to be paying a large chunk of Sancho’s wages.
Sancho is allegedly earning in the region of £200,000 per week at Old Trafford, his income having dropped due to United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Nevertheless, it is claimed that Villa will be paying at least 80% of Sancho’s income – approximately £160,000 per week – during his time at the club.
Furthermore, a loan fee is being paid and “achievable bonuses” make up the rest of the proposal on the table from Villa.
At this point in time, the extent at which it helps Ruben Amorim‘s efforts to sign new players remains to be seen, but United are known to be negotiating a deal for Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez who may be on a similar income to Sancho.
Villa are not in a position to spend excessively on wages without freeing up space on their outgoings courtesy of their well-documented issues with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations.
They must also comply with UEFA’s financial rules on the back of their recent punishment for breaching them.
