Nottingham Forest transfer news: Three players facing potential exits as Nuno Espirito Santo ‘trims squad’ ahead of Premier League return KIK BALL

Nottingham Forest may reportedly allow three players to leave the City Ground before the restart of the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest may reportedly part ways with as many as three players over the next 10 days.

While the summer transfer window for England and several of European football’s major leagues has closed, clubs from a number of other leagues are able to do business.

Either side of Nuno Espirito Santo‘s criticism over the speed of Forest signing players, as many as 13 fresh faces have arrived at the City Ground.

Although one of them – Cuiabano – is due to be loaned back to Botafogo, Forest officials will no doubt want to trim their squad if possible.

According to John Percy of The Telegraph, three of Forest’s fringe players are attracting notable interest.

Which players could leave Nottingham Forest?

The report suggests that Morato, Jota Silva and Taiwo Awoniyi all have admirers in various different divisions and nations.

Teams from the Saudi Pro League are said to hold an interest in Morato, who may only be viewed as fourth-choice centre-back at best.

Meanwhile, a specific Saudi Pro League club in Neom FC are said to be keen on Silva, who has also been linked with teams in Portugal.

As for Awoniyi, who has not played any competitive football since suffering a serious abdominal injury that required surgery, there is said to be interest from abroad.

With Dan Ndoye, Igor Jesus and Arnaud Kalimuendo having been acquired over the summer transfer window, Awoniyi is effectively surplus to requirements.

What transfer windows are still open?

The Austrian and Croatian transfer windows shut on Friday, while Belgium, Poland and Switzerland close at the start of next week.

Greek and Turkish teams have until next Friday to do business, with the Saudi Pro League transfer market open until September 2023.
